Job summary

Dashiell Corporation, part of Quanta Services, is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Administrator for its Houston, TX office. You will manage the most complex EPC subcontracts, lead pre-award risk assessment, negotiate awards, and mentor junior staff. This role reports to the Procurement Manager - Subcontracts and supports CPSR compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years in EPC, power, or heavy industrial subcontracts, with strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD or MBA strongly preferred.
• Experience negotiating major, complex subcontract awards.
• Deep knowledge of construction subcontract terms, change management, and claims.
• Strong leadership and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-award risk assessment and commercial strategy for major subcontracts.
• Establish flow-down strategy for major subcontracts and adjudicate high-risk provisions with Legal guidance.
• Negotiate large, complex subcontracts with high-risk terms and conditions.
• Manage complex change order disputes and claims escalations.
• Coordinate with Legal from bid phase forward on significant commercial and legal risk issues.
• Develop and implement subcontract administration procedures and templates.
• Mentor junior Subcontracts staff on procurement processes and best practices.
• Represent Procurement in client and subcontractor executive meetings.
• Support CPSR compliance activities and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee subcontractor performance management and escalation of failures.
• Contribute to development of standard subcontract templates and negotiating playbooks.
