Job summary

Power Design is seeking a Buyer/Procurement professional to support purchasing for engineering, estimating and operations teams from our St. Petersburg, FL headquarters.

You will create bid events, source suppliers, update item databases and craft purchase orders under the guidance of a Procurement Category Manager. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Finance or a technical field with up to three years’ experience, excel at data analysis, and can negotiate favorable terms with suppliers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance or a Technical field.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with willingness to negotiate with suppliers.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel with data mining ability.

Responsibilities

• Support material buyouts for various regions with procurement team and suppliers.
• Develop relationships with operations to ensure timely bids and purchase orders.
• Learn procurement categories and guide employees to use best practices and preferred suppliers.
• Review quotes for accuracy and negotiate best pricing with suppliers.
• Receive hands-on training in procurement, category management and supplier negotiations.
