Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to support purchasing for engineering, estimating and operations teams at our corporate HQ in St. Petersburg, FL.

The role involves creating purchase orders, obtaining supplier quotes, updating part databases, and maintaining bid documentation while collaborating with project management and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a 0–3 year background, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficient Excel data mining capabilities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or a technical field.
• 0–3 years of experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel/data mining.
• Construction industry knowledge is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Support material buyouts for various regions with procurement team and suppliers.
• Develop strong relationships with operations to ensure timely bids and purchase orders.
• Learn procurement categories and guide employees to use preferred suppliers.
• Review quotes for accuracy and negotiate best pricing with suppliers.
• Receive hands-on training in procurement, category management, and negotiations.
• Support bid process by creating e-sourcing events, templates, and reports.
• Improve processes through reporting, data collection, and best practices.
