Power Systems Mfg., Llc is seeking a Buyer in Jupiter, FL to manage procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services. The role emphasizes supplier sourcing, bid evaluation, and PO administration, interfacing with Engineering for technical approvals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of procurement experience in industrial construction or production buying, including SAP experience and some travel. Exposures to power generation are a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in governmental and/or industrial construction or production buying.
• Must complete EHS regulatory training as described by PSM’s matrix.
• 3+ years of experience with procurement mainframe systems.
• 1+ years of experience with SAP.
• Experience in Power Generation field preferred.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize computerized procurement system for reports and purchase orders per policies.
• Establish sources of supply and interface with Engineering for approvals.
• Maintain qualified vendors list and update files.
• Process procurement docs, review requisitions, and resolve lead-time constraints.
• Develop and evaluate bid packages and vendor responses for surplus items.
• Obtain and document quotes from vendors.
• Identify new suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Prepare and process various orders in a timely manner.
• Issue and maintain blanket purchase orders with expiration dates and limits.
• Perform staff meetings, vendor visits, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate strong commercial ability with emphasis on negotiations.
• Know market materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and related documents.
• Planning skills (MS Office) and IT knowledge (Office/MS Project/SAP).
• Other duties as assigned.
