Job summary

Okta is seeking a Solutions Engineer in Dallas, TX, who will play a critical role in customer engagement throughout the development lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, especially in cloud security, and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

The position entails working closely with customers to understand their requirements, delivering proof of concepts, and creating educational content. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of pre-sales engineering experience and a passion for customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years pre-sales engineering experience.
• Experience in customer-facing roles like consulting or support.
• Ability to quickly communicate complex ideas around technical topics.
• Experience with network security protocols (OAuth, SAML, LDAP).

• Support the sales team in educating customers on Okta's capabilities.
• Understand and communicate customer requirements effectively.
• Deliver complex proof of concepts alongside engineering teams.
• Craft technical content and prepare demos for implementations.
