Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to guide technology decision-making and align solutions with organizational goals in our Columbia, MD office.

You will design and manage the organization's solution portfolio, bridging business needs with technical capabilities while promoting architectural standards, governance, and best practices. Expect cross-functional collaboration and leadership across enterprise architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar technical leadership role.
• Experience with custom software development and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms such as Azure, AWS, Salesforce, M365.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business drivers into effective solution designs.
• Lead evaluation and selection of technology platforms and services; define standard and custom configurations.
• Consult on application development, infrastructure design, and system integrations while promoting architecture patterns.
• Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and patterns; guide remediation of aging tech.
