Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement in Morrisville, North Carolina, seeks a Solution Architect to guide technology decision-making and manage the solution portfolio. The role bridges business needs with technical capabilities while promoting architectural standards and governance.

You will lead evaluation of platforms, design configurations, and ensure security, data protection, and quality across initiatives, including Azure, AWS, Salesforce, and M365-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar leadership role.
• Experience with custom software development, SaaS/PaaS (M365, Salesforce, Workday) and IaaS (Azure, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business drivers into solution designs.
• Lead evaluation and selection of platforms, designing standard and custom configurations.
• Consult on application development, infrastructure design, and system integrations.
• Design architectures aligned with enterprise strategy and governance.
• Produce architecture deliverables to support governance and standards.
