Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement in Morrisville, NC seeks a Solution Architect to guide technology decision‑making and shape the organization’s solution portfolio. You will bridge business needs with technical capabilities, promote architectural standards, governance, and best practices across platforms.

You’ll lead platform evaluations, drive standards, and oversee architecture deliverables while ensuring security and data protection across Azure, AWS, Salesforce and M365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Solutions Architecture or similar leadership role.
• Experience with SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms and integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business drivers into solution designs.
• Lead evaluation and selection of technology platforms and services.
• Consult on application development, infrastructure design, and system integrations.
• Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and patterns.
• Produce architecture deliverables to support governance and planning.
• Ensure security, compliance, data protection, and quality requirements.
