Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement in Columbia, MD seeks a Solution Architect to guide technology decision‑making and manage the solution portfolio, aligning designs with enterprise strategy.

You will partner with stakeholders to evaluate platforms, ensure security and governance, and produce architecture deliverables across Azure, AWS, Salesforce, and M365. The role requires 8+ years in architecture and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of solution architecture or technical leadership experience.
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred.
• Experience with SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and integration across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage solution architectures aligned with enterprise strategy and standards.
• Lead evaluation and selection of platforms, services, and APIs.
• Advise on application development, infrastructure, and system integration while promoting architecture best practices.
• Produce architecture deliverables and govern security, data protection, and compliance.
