Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking an IT Software Asset Manager to oversee software assets across the enterprise. The role ensures proper acquisition, cataloging, and disposal of software, with audits to verify license compliance and inventory accuracy.

You will analyze usage data, collaborate with product owners and procurement to maintain licenses, and drive cost savings while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years SAM experience.
• 2+ years HAM experience.
• Hands-on ServiceNow SAM Pro module.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain SLAs/EULAs.
• Identify software license types (SaaS, perpetual, freeware).
• Excellent communication with senior leadership.
• Travel up to 5% regionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee acquisition, organization, maintenance and disposal of software assets.
• Perform regular audits for license compliance and inventory accuracy.
• Analyze software usage data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with software model owners to ensure proper attributes in SAM Pro.
• Record license agreements and entitlements with contract management and purchasing.
• Ensure rights to use software comply with laws and contracts.
• Manage software inventory and licenses, track maintenance contracts.
• Provide reporting to Sr IT Asset Manager and leadership.
