Job summary

Ports North in California is seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to manage the software asset lifecycle within ServiceNow SAM Pro. You will ensure license compliance, data accuracy, and cost optimization by maintaining entitlements, reconciling inventory and discovery data, and supporting audits.

You will collaborate with ITAM leadership, procurement, and vendor teams to maintain a trusted system of record and deliver insights that reduce risk and optimize the software portfolio.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management in a large org.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro and entitlement management.
Understanding of common software licensing models (per-user, per-device, subscription).
Experience participating in software compliance reviews or vendor audits.

Responsibilities

Maintain entitlement records in ServiceNow SAM Pro.
Reconcile entitlements with deployments to identify gaps.
Support audits with entitlement, deployment, and usage data.
Collaborate with Procurement, Vendor Management, Security, and IT Operations.
