Job summary

Axillon Aerospace, Inc. in San Diego seeks a Manager, SIOP & Supply Chain to drive demand, capacity, materials, and production planning, turning data into actionable strategies that meet aerospace goals.

You will lead the SIOP process, manage procurement, production planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics, and collaborate across Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance to deliver on-time customer delivery and optimized inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required (equivalent experience may be considered)
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain leadership
• Proof of US citizenship
• Able to lead individuals locally and through a matrixed organization
• Able to research and analyze data
• Able to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to collaborate and influence stakeholders
• Excellent customer service orientation
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
• Strong prioritization skills
• Able to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
• Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership
• Proficient in project management tools (i.e. MS Project) or similar tool(s)
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, procedures, and standards policy and procedure development techniques
• Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to federal and state tax codes
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
• Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting principles
• Intermediate knowledge of PC software applications and strong understanding of PC operating systems

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of supply chain operations including procurement, production planning, inventory control, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, and logistics
• Oversees the SIOP process to align demand, supply, inventory targets, and capacity
• Manages procurement operations and supplier relationships, including sourcing, negotiations, contract administration
• Manages production planning activities to ensure efficient material flow and on-time delivery
• Manages warehouse and inventory operations and cycle counting
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives in procurement, planning, inventory, and warehouse processes
• Leads and directs work for team of employees
• Manages staff selection, performance, development and training
