Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years purchasing, plant buying or sourcing in manufacturing.
• Strong inventory management skills.
• Strong supplier negotiation skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships.
• Financial analysis fundamentals.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract development.
• Fundamental knowledge of OSHA.
• Fundamental knowledge of ISO.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a reliable, uninterrupted, and sustainable supply of raw materials to support plant operations.
• Manage plant inventory levels for raw materials, packaging, and MRO materials.
• Lead purchasing activities in alignment with corporate procurement practices and procedures.
• Partner with corporate Supply Chain on strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Identify and lead cost-reduction initiatives and develop monthly scorecards.
• Develop material strategies to support continuous manufacturing operations.
• Build relationships with suppliers and act as liaison between plant and Supply Chain.
• Lead cross-functional projects to identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers.
