Job summary

Elevate is seeking a Sr. Credit Risk Governance Analyst to bolster the organization’s credit risk governance framework.

You will oversee end-to-end credit decisioning, policy management, and testing while coordinating with Compliance, Legal, Analytics, and IT to ensure alignment with risk appetite and regulatory expectations. The role emphasizes durable governance, auditable processes, and proactive issue remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, risk management, or related field required.
• 5+ years in financial services, credit risk, or risk oversight.
• Experience with credit policy management, decisioning, risk controls, model governance, or second-line oversight preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line oversight of the end-to-end credit decisioning process.
• Execute credit policy testing and control reviews to identify breaches and gaps.
• Maintain and support the credit policy framework, including policy inventory and approval workflows.
• Provide independent challenge to credit risk models, strategies, and governance documentation.
• Support model risk oversight by reviewing model performance and monitoring controls.
• Perform retrospective credit risk reviews to evaluate decision quality and root causes.
• Develop and maintain credit risk SOPs, process maps, and governance documentation.
• Support governance by coordinating periodic reviews and remediation of gaps.
• Analyze governance results to identify risks and opportunities for control improvement.
• Prepare governance reporting, dashboards, and executive summaries.
