Job summary

The College of Humanities and the Arts at San José State University seeks a Scheduling Analyst to support scheduling, enrollment planning, data analysis, and administrative functions for assigned departments. Reporting to the Director of Resources and Operations, the role covers course scheduling, temporary faculty appointments, enrollment planning, space management, and related processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training.
• Administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary faculty appointments, reappointments, assigned time, salary verification, onboarding, and related documentation.
• Assist with development, entry, maintenance, and correction of class schedules, including room assignments, faculty assignments, cancellations, and course additions.
• Provide enrollment, student success, faculty appointment, salary, and budget data to department chairs, associate deans, and college leadership.
• Manage department space requests, historical space-use data, lecture and laboratory assignments, and faculty office assignments.
• Interpret and apply university policies and procedures while maintaining accurate records, serving as a liaison among departments, faculty, and college administration.
