Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Project Manager to oversee SCADA, telecommunications, fiber optic, and RTU projects in our SCADA & Communications department. You will manage projects end-to-end, coordinating with engineering, field teams, and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

This role requires on-site presence at client locations in Oregon. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least four years of directly related experience, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of four years directly related professional experience.
• Experience with utilities telecommunications and SCADA.
• Occasional travel.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or possess a valid Green Card (Permanent Resident Card) to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital telecommunications, SCADA, and RTU replacement projects or phases of larger projects.
• Lead project planning, design, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities to deliver within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Develop scopes of work, requests for proposals, project schedules, cost forecasts, progress reports, risk tracking, and change-control documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors regarding work scope, contract commitments, specifications, schedule requirements, and change management.
• Develop and maintain a prioritized RTU replacement program schedule based on asset data, timelines, engineering readiness, field resource availability, and active capital project schedules.
• Establish site-specific projects and work orders for RTU replacements, ensuring proper scoping based on size, complexity, and requirements.
• Coordinate with telecom engineering, assigned engineers, area managers, technicians, contractors, and vendors to align resources for project execution.
• Track RTU replacement work to prevent duplication and ensure coordinated activities.
• Ensure required equipment and materials are ordered, shipped, and tracked per schedules and site readiness.
• Coordinate field execution, legacy RTU decommissioning, equipment removal, documentation, and closeout in accordance with procedures.
