Job summary

Ginkgo Datapoints in Boston, MA, seeks an Associate Director of Sales for the Small Molecule portfolio to drive revenue growth with pharma, biotech, and tech accounts. You will own end-to-end deal flow and lead commercial negotiations.

The role requires scientific fluency, 3–7 years in life sciences or related commercial roles, CRM proficiency, and travel ~20–30%. You will partner with legal, finance, and science teams to structure deals and proposals.

Qualifications

BS, MS, or PhD in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemical Biology, Cell Biology, or related life sciences field; or a business degree with life sciences exposure.
3–7 years in scientific roles or commercial roles within life sciences.
Strong communication, ability to translate science into value propositions.
Proficiency with CRM tools and AI productivity tools.
Willingness to travel ~20–30%.

Responsibilities

Build and manage a portfolio of pharma, biotech, and tech accounts from prospecting through close.
Maintain a structured sales pipeline using CRM tools and report progress.
Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations; collaborate with legal, finance, and science teams.
Meet and exceed revenue targets for the Small Molecule Services portfolio.
Represent Datapoints at industry conferences and gather feedback to inform go-to-market strategy.
