Job summary

Ginkgo Bioworks Datapoints, located in Boston, seeks an Associate Director of Sales to drive revenue for the Small Molecule Services portfolio. You will own pipeline management, engage pharma/biotech customers, and lead end-to-end negotiations.

The role requires scientific fluency, strong communication, and revenue accountability. You will represent Datapoints at conferences, shape go-to-market strategy, and collaborate with legal, finance, and science teams to ensure successful delivery and

Qualifications

Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in life sciences or a business degree with direct life sciences exposure.
3–7 years in scientific roles or life sciences commercial roles (BD, strategy, or partnerships).
Ability to translate complex science into compelling value propositions.
Willingness to travel ~20–30%.

Responsibilities

Build and manage a portfolio of pharma/biotech/tech accounts from prospecting through close.
Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations – scoping, pricing, and contracts.
Represent the company at industry conferences and inform go-to-market strategy.
Serve as a scientific resource to translate data offerings into value propositions and support proposals.
