Strategic Sales Consultant (Out of Area)

This position is open to candidates who reside outside the 31-county service region in Upstate NY, including those outside NYS.

Job Summary

The Strategic Out of Area Sales Consultant is responsible for prospecting, developing, and securing new business outside of the 31 counties served by Lifetime Healthcare Companies (LTHC). The role oversees the MSO product portfolio, drives growth for LBS Ancillary, Pharmacy, and Operations as a Service, and ensures account/partnership satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect, develop, and maintain an Out of Area sales pipeline through methods such as cold calling, networking, trade shows, and referrals, targeting Brokers, Distribution Channels, Carriers, and TPA(s).
  • Create and deliver tailored proposals and quotes that meet customer needs, highlighting value and competitiveness. Conduct effective presentations to showcase our services.
  • Negotiate and finalize sales contracts, ensuring clarity and compliance with company policies.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers within health insurance carriers and MSO partners, understanding their needs and demonstrating how our services address them.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential out-of-area business acquisitions, overseeing growth, relationship management, and retention of purchased books of business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, product development) to develop sales materials and stay informed on market trends and customer needs.
  • Uphold high standards of integrity, supporting the company's mission and values, including adherence to the Corporate Code of Conduct and privacy policies.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of successful sales experience in the health insurance industry, preferably selling services and ancillary benefits, or a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Deep knowledge of health insurance products, pharmacy, ancillary benefits, operations as a service, and industry trends.
  • Motivated, results-oriented, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, managing time effectively.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work sitting or standing for prolonged periods and use a computer.
  • Willingness to travel across the service region, including outside NYS, for meetings and training.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $79,068 - $142,322, depending on experience and qualifications. Our total rewards include health/dental insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, paid time off, and holidays. Remote work opportunities may be available on a case-by-case basis.
