Job Description

Note: Due to the growth and diversification focus of this role, we are considering candidates who live outside our 31-county service region in Upstate NY. Candidates outside of NYS are encouraged to apply.

Summary: The Strategic Out of Area Sales Consultant is responsible for prospecting, developing, and winning new business outside of the 31 counties Lifetime Healthcare Companies (LTHC) serves. This role will handle the MSO product portfolio, growth for LBS Ancillary, Pharmacy, and Operations as a Service, and ensure satisfaction of accounts and partnerships.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Prospecting, relationship development, and maintaining an Out of Area pipeline, including Brokers, Distribution Channels, Carriers, and TPA(s). Uses lead generation methods such as cold calling, networking, trade shows, and referrals.
  • Developing and presenting customized proposals and quotes aligned with customer needs, demonstrating value and competitive pricing.
  • Negotiating and closing sales contracts, ensuring clarity and compliance with company policies.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers within health insurance carriers and MSO partners. Understanding their needs and articulating how our services address them.
  • Sourcing and developing relationships with potential Out of Area business acquisitions, overseeing purchased books of business for growth, relationships, and retention.
  • Collaborating with marketing, finance, and product teams to create sales materials and analyze market trends.
  • Upholding high standards of integrity, supporting the company's mission and values, and adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Maintaining member privacy according to policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Performing additional functions as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least ten years of successful sales experience in health insurance, or a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field with five or more years in sales or health insurance.
  • Extensive knowledge of health insurance, pharmacy, ancillary benefits, operations as a service, and industry trends.
  • Motivated, results-driven, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, closing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work sitting or standing for prolonged periods at a workstation and on a computer.
  • Ability to travel within and outside New York State for meetings and training as needed.
