Job summary

Scheels Corporate Office in Fargo invites a Risk and Safety Leader to oversee safety and insurance practices across all Scheels locations and on campus. You will work closely with Store teams, Human Resources, Legal, and Asset Protection to implement best practices and drive risk reduction.

The role requires travel, development of training materials, COI management, incident review, and safety audits. Strong communication, organization, and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2–3 years of relevant safety/HR experience.
• Experience leading teams at a high level.
• Prior HR/Asset Protection experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety training materials for associates and leadership.
• Request required Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from vendors and track COIs.
• Assist with review and filing of incident reports.
• Travel to Scheels locations for store visits and new store setups to ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Oversee Fleet safety program, including DOT, Dash Cam, and MVR monitoring.
• Assist with workers' compensation and insurance claims.
• Coordinate CPR certification and safety training across Scheels locations.
