Knife River seeks a Regional Health & Safety Director to develop and oversee comprehensive safety strategies within the Central Region (ND, MN, SD, IA, TX) and support the enterprise Safety Management System. This leadership role focuses on guiding risk reduction, coaching safety professionals, and delivering continuous improvements across KNF operations.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, an ability to lead cross-functional teams, and a commitment to building a culture of safety

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, occupational health, engineering, construction, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Progressive safety leadership experience in mining, construction, heavy civil, or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, DOT, BATFE, and FRA regulations.
• Experience developing or implementing safety management systems and risk-reduction processes.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with KNF operational leadership to align safety principles, functions, and systems across region and company.
• Leads, mentors, and coaches safety professionals within region for team effectiveness and project completion.
• Oversee KNF Safety Management System and ensure its effectiveness.
• Act as subject matter expert for health & safety and regulatory issues, guiding KNF teams.
• Assist with due diligence for acquisitions by reviewing past performance, systems, and infrastructure.
