Job summary

Clearwater Analytics is seeking a Pricing Analyst to protect client relationships by addressing billing concerns and structuring concessions when appropriate. You will review contracts, billing histories, and accounts to determine actual events and prepare well-documented recommendations for approval.

The role collaborates with Client Success and Support teams to uncover underlying issues, maintain detailed case logs, and escalate patterns for proactive resolution in a fast-paced, SaaS

Qualifications

• Comfortable investigating a dispute from contract and billing records.
• Strong written communication — you’re building the file a pricing lead will approve or decline.
• Even-keeled and diplomatic — this role works directly with clients who are frustrated or unhappy.
• Strong Excel/tracker discipline and comfort maintaining a running log of open and resolved cases.
• Genuine curiosity to dig into what actually happened rather than taking a client’s account at face value.
• Prior experience in billing, collections, customer support, or account management — familiarity with contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for client requests to reduce or waive fees.
• Proactively monitor client accounts to spot concession opportunities before clients raise them.
• Investigate each request by reviewing contracts and billing history to determine what happened.
• Partner with Client Success and Support to understand underlying service issues.
• Build a clear, well-documented recommendation and seek approval.
• Maintain a case log to reveal patterns over time.
