Job summary

Fervo Energy invites a Reservoir Engineer focused on production forecasting and resource evaluation to join our team in Colorado. You will own production forecasts for long-term planning and link subsurface performance with corporate budgeting.

You will collaborate with Corporate Finance, Development, and leadership to translate forecasts into cash flows, capital plans, and investor materials while performing economic analyses and maintaining recoverable resource estimates.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline).
• 5+ years of reservoir engineering, reserves evaluation, or production forecasting experience.
• Strong understanding of decline curve analysis and type curves.
• Experience with reserves estimation and reporting standards (e.g., SPE-PRMS).
• Experience building economic models (NPV, IRR, cash flow) and sensitivity analyses.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain portfolio production forecasts for long-term planning.
• Develop and update type curves and decline/analytical models.
• Translate reservoir performance and uncertainty into probabilistic forecast ranges (P10/P50/P90).
• Conduct economic evaluations of development scenarios and capital projects (NPV, IRR).
• Own recoverable resource estimates and support standardized forecasting methodologies.
