Job summary

Fervo Energy seeks an Asset Reservoir Engineer to lead asset development planning and perform reservoir analyses for geothermal development. You will shape strategy, reservoir management, and capital efficiency across our growing portfolio, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include designing data acquisition, economic evaluation, forecasting production, and supporting field operations decisions. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 6+ years of engineering experience in oil/gas or geothermal industries.
• 1+ years of field experience in oil/gas, geothermal, or similar operations.
• Experience in project management and asset development planning for energy projects.
• Experience applying economic models to support asset decisions.
• Experience in production forecasting and probabilistic analysis.
• Experience with hydraulic fracturing and well stimulation in unconventional settings.
• Experience with commercial reservoir simulation software (ResFrac, Eclipse, CMG, Tough2, IX, TETRAD).
• Experience with GOHFER, Kinetix, ResFrac, StimPlan, or FrackOptima.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recommendations based on comprehensive technical evaluation.
• Coordinate and support cross-functional teams to refine development plans.
• Evaluate economics of asset plans and development scenarios.
• Collaborate with subsurface and engineering teams for data acquisition.
• Interpret stimulation data and analyze production and injection data.
• Conduct uncertainty quantification for reservoir tests and well performance.
• Use reservoir simulation and field data to support operational decisions.
• Develop production forecasts and assess reservoir management strategies.
• History match geothermal reservoir models with field data.
