Job summary

First American Bank is seeking a Client Relationship Officer to drive loan, deposit, and revenue growth by acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships with businesses and professionals in the bank's market.

You will spend most of your time sourcing new relationships, analyzing financial data, and presenting complex financial solutions. This role requires travel across the market and close collaboration with branch staff and partners to achieve sales targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but commensurate sales and proven business development experience is acceptable.
• Solid knowledge of banking and bank lending fundamentals are required.
• 10+ years of banking, lending and sales experience.
• 5+ years experience in an environment focused on business development.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills are essential due to the highly interactive nature of the position.
• Ability to communicate benefits of strategies and products resulting in new business.
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to make critical decisions independently.
• Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong professional presence.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 required.
• Must have ability to work with multiple bank systems and be comfortable with software/database applications.
• Travel is required to client locations across the bank's market.
• Regular Monday-Friday hours with some before/after hours and weekend work for client scheduling and networking events.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes an individual business plan to achieve new relationship acquisition and existing relationship expansion.
• Collects and analyzes client financial information.
• Provides guidance on complex financial solutions and transactions to business and individual clients.
• Introduces partners to market bank's investment, planning and product services.
• Proactively contacts prospects and centers of influence to generate new relationships.
• Spends 80% of time sourcing new relationships outside the branch to meet sales goals.
• Maintains relationships with branch personnel and business partners.
• Keeps knowledge current on economic conditions, offerings, and market activities.
• Participates in community and networking groups to promote FAB image.
