Job summary

Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY, seeks a senior Registrar to steward student data from enrollment to degree completion and ensure timely regulatory reporting. Lead a team, develop SOPs, and drive technology-enabled improvements to enhance the student experience.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in academic records, a strong understanding of FERPA, and proven leadership in a multi-campus environment.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of experience in academic records and registration.
• Five or more years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of FERPA and enrollment-related laws.
• Commitment to excellent customer service for students, faculty, staff, alumni and others.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to travel within a multi-campus environment.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance, Records & Reporting management and oversight.
• Lead change management to improve registrar systems and processes.
• Maintain and archive student records according to standards and accreditation requirements.
• Provide FERPA training to employees with access to student records.
• Lead scheduling, cataloging, degree conferral, and related reporting activities.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Enrollment Services, Academic Affairs and IT.
• Oversee staff development and SOPs within the Registrar's Office.
