Meritus College is seeking a Registrar & Director of Academic Records to lead all registrar functions, govern policies and data, and ensure accreditation-ready reporting. The role is founding and strategic, balancing current operations with scalable infrastructure and a defensible, auditable record system.

The Registrar supports college leadership as the definitive authority on student records, with ownership of SIS configuration, catalogs, degree audits, and conferral processes.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressively responsible registrar experience in higher education.
• Led at least one substantial build or rebuild of registrar systems.
• Policy authorship experience through governance.
• Accreditation self-study participation or reporting.
• FERPA fluency with practical judgement.
• SIS experience and data modeling understanding.
• Knowledge of federal/state regulatory requirements for records.

Responsabilités

• Draft the institutional policy stack and shepherd through governance.
• Establish the Academic Catalog as the official document of record.
• Stand up registrar service infrastructure with SLAs and self-service docs.
• Define the system of academic authority and audit trails.
• Lead SIS requirements, configuration, and lifecycle governance.
• Define institutional data dictionary and data integrity controls.
• Own the degree audit, progression checks, and conferral processes.
• Design credential issuance end-to-end and manage transfer credit.
