Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a strategic Talent Acquisition leader to drive full‑cycle recruitment across the footprint with a strong focus on diversity and pipeline building.

You will partner with field and division leaders to develop sourcing strategies, improve interview capability, and align talent plans with business needs while ensuring compliance with laws and internal processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field (or equivalent).
  • 6+ years of relevant multi-location, multi-state experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analytics to drive talent decisions.
  • Collaborative and able to engage TA colleagues enterprise-wide.
  • Experience navigating high-volume requisitions and prioritization.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full-lifecycle recruitment across the footprint.
  • Source strategies, screening, interviewing, campaigns, and offers.
  • Identify gaps in interview capability and coordinate with HR.
  • Develop individualized sourcing strategies for markets supported.
  • Execute recruitment plans to meet metrics: quality, throughput, diversity, time-to-offer.
  • Implement division-specific talent acquisition plans to build bench strength.
  • Acquire industry knowledge and use market data to align with talent needs.
  • Maintain relationships with field and division leaders to meet acquisition objectives.
  • Engage in workforce planning and talent discussions; articulate candidate value.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and internal processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In this role, you will help drive every step of the hiring process for all positions within the assigned footprint, from strategic workforce planning to full‑cycle recruitment, with a strong focus on diversity and pipeline building.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform full‑lifecycle recruitment, including sourcing strategy, screening, interviewing, marketing campaigns, and offer completion.
  • Identify gaps in interview capability and process coordination with HR.
  • Develop individualized sourcing strategies for supported markets and execute appropriately.
  • Execute recruitment plans to meet metrics such as candidate quality, throughput, pipeline diversity, and time to offer; identify improvements.
  • Implement innovative, division‑specific talent acquisition plans to build external bench strength.
  • Acquire industry knowledge, competitive market data, and use it to drive market alignment with exceptional talent.
  • Asses community demographics and build a candidate pipeline that supports diversity hiring initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with field and division leaders to meet acquisition objectives.
  • Engage in workforce planning and leadership meetings to understand current and future talent needs; build the candidate value proposition.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and company priority processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Six (6) or more years of relevant experience with consultative, innovative, problem‑solving skills in a multi‑location, multi‑state environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with candidates and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive talent acquisition recommendations and decisions.
  • Commitment and desire to build business acumen and engage the business.
  • Inspired to collaborate and support team and TA colleagues enterprise‑wide.
  • Proficiency in navigating high‑volume requisitions and managing competing priorities with urgency.
  • Process‑oriented experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms.
