Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Manager of Real Estate to oversee its real estate portfolio across multiple states. You will lead a team handling acquisitions, dispositions, lease administration, and property agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with financial goals.

The role requires collaboration with Legal, Operations, Engineering, Environmental, and Finance teams, plus external partners. A strong background in real estate, contracts, and budgeting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, project management, real estate, or related field.
• Experience managing complex projects, contracts, and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong leadership with experience guiding teams and external resources.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for administration of the real estate portfolio across five-state territory.
• Oversee negotiation, execution, and management of leases, licenses, easements, rights-of-way.
• Direct property acquisition and disposition activities aligned with objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Manage contract administration, revenue tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop strategies to optimize real estate assets while mitigating risk and costs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external consultants, surveyors, appraisers, brokers, and legal counsel.
• Prepare portfolio updates, financial analyses, and strategic recommendations for leadership.
