Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Real Estate Development Manager to lead end-to-end development projects in Welkom, Free State. You will drive site selection, feasibility, planning, construction oversight, and eventual sales or leasing, coordinating with architects, engineers, and authorities.

The role demands strong financial modeling, zoning knowledge, and exceptional stakeholder management, with a strategic, data-driven mindset for delivering on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• 6–8 years of direct real estate development experience with a strong project portfolio.
• Expertise in site selection, land use, zoning, and entitlement processes.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, pro forma development, and investment analysis.
• Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and building codes.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Familiarity with Welkom and Free State property market is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Office Suite.
• Strategic, data-driven decision maker.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate land acquisition and development opportunities.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market analyses, and financial projections.
• Prepare development proposals and secure local approvals.
