Placements24 is assisting a well-established construction and engineering firm in Welkom, Free State to hire a skilled Project Manager. You will lead planning, budgeting, procurement, and handover, coordinating with contractors and project stakeholders to deliver on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture, with at least 6 years of construction PM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of project management experience in construction.
• Proficiency in MS Project and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Develop detailed project plans including resource allocation, risk assessments, and procurement strategies.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and clients detailing status, budget updates, and milestones.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.
• Ensure effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.

About the Role

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in and around Welkom, Free State.
