Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager with a quarry/mining background to oversee all quarry operations, champion safety and regulatory compliance, boost efficiency and profitability, and lead a cohesive team toward operational excellence.

You will manage production, maintenance, quality, and logistics; implement a proactive maintenance program; enforce cost controls; and mentor supervisors, technical staff, and operators while engaging suppliers, regulators, and the

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in quarry or mining management.
• Strong knowledge of quarry/mining operations (extraction, drilling, blasting, processing).
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of health, safety, environmental standards in mining/quarry.
• Experience with cost control and process improvement.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and industry software.
• Flexibility to work weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarry operations with focus on safety, production goals, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Develop objectives and plans aligned with mission, promoting safety, performance, and quality.
• Direct plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet objectives cost-effectively.
• Create and maintain proactive maintenance and equipment rejuvenation programs to minimize downtime.
• Implement cost control strategies within budget while maintaining high standards.
• Develop supervisors, staff, and operators through training and performance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Serve as principal liaison with suppliers, regulators, and the local community.
