Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Purchasing Specialist in Marysville, OH for a contract-to-hire role. You will manage mass production part ordering, supplier deliveries, and planning to keep operations running smoothly.

You will evaluate suppliers against price, quality, and reliability; maintain ERP/MRP data; support KPI targets; and lead continuous improvement through PDCA with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, SCM, or related experience.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of inventory management and manufacturing workflow.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage production part ordering and supplier deliveries.
• Identify, research, evaluate, and select suppliers meeting price, quality, and reliability standards.
• Maintain ERP data for suppliers and parts.
• Establish and maintain communication networks with the supply base.
• Escalate supplier issues for timely resource allocation.
• Develop internal and external communication networks for operations.
• Collaborate with departments to support Mass Production projects and KPI targets.
• Manage New Model and Mass Production design change activities to minimize impact and cost.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures.
• Drive continuous improvement through the PDCA cycle.
