Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Manufacturing Buyer to manage production-related purchasing, analyze needs, and issue purchase orders while coordinating with technical and operations teams.

The role involves expediting critical materials, resolving supplier issues, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support cost, quality, and timely delivery initiatives. This onsite contract-to-hire position is based in Warrington, PA.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing experience supporting manufacturing or production.
• Experience sourcing components, materials, assemblies, or manufactured parts.
• Ability to work effectively in an environment where purchasing requirements frequently change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing delivery commitments.
• ERP/MRP experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for production-related materials and components.
• Analyze requirements and determine appropriate purchasing actions.
• Issue and manage purchase orders while monitoring supplier performance and delivery.
• Work with technical and operational teams to understand material requirements.
• Resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and supplier-related challenges.
• Expedite critical materials to maintain production schedules.
• Compare supplier capabilities, pricing, lead times, and availability.
• Assist with inventory planning and material forecasting.
• Develop and maintain productive supplier relationships.
• Support cost, quality, and delivery improvement initiatives.
