Job summary

Tadano Georgetown, TX-based Purchasing Specialist role involves sourcing, procuring, and managing production materials to support manufacturing needs. You will ensure timely delivery, maintain supplier relationships, and optimize costs while upholding ERP records and compliance.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet material requirements, review requisitions, issue POs, and track shipments to prevent stock-outs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory management, and vendor relations.
• Proven negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requisitions for accuracy, approvals, and completeness.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
• Track supplier acknowledgements and shipment dates to ensure on-time delivery.
• Escalate and communicate shipment delays.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including production, engineering, and quality, to meet material requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendors with ERP System.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Support inventory management by tracking materials, optimizing order quantities, and avoiding stock-outs.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
