Job summary

Tadano in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Buyer/Planner II to manage categories, suppliers, and inventory while coordinating production planning. You will rely on demand forecasts, MRP signals, and supplier performance data to maintain material availability and optimize inventory investment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; degree a plus.
10+ years in procurement or purchasing; heavy equipment and steel procurement experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred; Epicor Vantage ERP experience is a plus.
Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and relate requirements to vendors.

Responsibilities

Manage category, suppliers, and material groups to support production and operational requirements.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost competitiveness.
Lead category supplier negotiations for pricing, lead times, payment terms, and service agreements.
Analyze MRP demand signals, inventory levels, and forecast requirements to ensure material availability.
Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive corrective actions related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
Identify and implement cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvement initiatives.
Support new product introductions and engineering change implementation activities.
