Job summary

Qualifications

• Capable of understanding and interpreting drawings.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions.
• Investigates and develops sources of supply.
• Prepares and solicits bids.
• Negotiates purchases of goods, supplies, equipment and services.
• Prepares purchase orders and distributes copies to suppliers and originating departments.
• Communicates sourcing requirements and facilitates issue resolution.
• Supports procurement strategies to meet cost objectives and delivery schedules.
• Resolves purchasing issues with vendors.
• Performs administrative activities in support of purchasing.
• Works independently with little supervision.
• Develops and manages long-term supplier relationships.
• Identifies and mitigates schedule execution issues.
