Job summary

Spang & Company, a leader in magnetics components, seeks a Purchasing Manager in Pittsburgh, PA to lead end-to-end procurement for materials, equipment and services. You will align purchasing with forecast demand, drive cost reductions, and manage supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 7+ years of procurement in manufacturing, plus ERP experience. Domestic travel up to 10% is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a technical discipline is required.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for raw materials, supplies, capital equipment and services.
• Drive cost, quality, and delivery performance; manage RFQs, negotiations, POs, expediting, and past-due deliveries.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships; ensure a capable supplier base for current and future needs.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives and sustainable sourcing per regulations.
• Travel domestically up to 10%.
