Job summary

Spang & Company seeks a Senior Buyer based in Phoenix to manage capital expenditure, MRO, and service-related purchases through the procurement process.

The role requires working with suppliers, contractors, production staff, engineering, and facilities management to ensure on-time deliveries, quotations, negotiations, and order issuance. Travel up to 10% domestically is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, logistics, or a technical discipline.
• 8+ years of procurement experience with MRO and services contracting.
• ERP systems experience is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.
• Duties include supplier negotiations, order issuance, expediting parts, and resolving past-due deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, production staff, engineering, and facilities management to manage orders.
• Solicit quotes, negotiate terms, issue orders, track deliveries, and resolve past-due items.
• Expedite parts as needed and coordinate related travel.

Spang & Company has an opening for aSenior Buyerbased inPhoenix, AZ. This position will prepare, review, and track capital expenditure, MRO, and service-related purchase orders through the procurement process.

Spang & Company is a diversified manufacturing company. Through the work of three unique product lines, we design, produce, and supply precision soft magnetic components and materials to the electronics industry and custom-engineered solutions to the power industry.

Primary job duties will include working with suppliers, contractors, production staff, engineering, and facilities management to execute order management activities, including quotation solicitation, supplier/contractor negotiations, order issuance, proactive confirmation of anticipated deliveries, expediting needed parts, and resolving past-due deliveries. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, project management, logistics, or a technical discipline, and 8+ years of procurement experience with a strong background in MRO procurements and contracting for services. Experience with ERP systems is a strong plus.
