Job summary

Spang & Company, based in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Senior Buyer to manage capital expenditure, MRO, and service-related purchase orders through the procurement process.

Primary duties include supplier negotiations, order issuance, expediting deliveries, and vendor performance evaluation. You will support the Purchasing Manager on special projects and coordinate with department managers on upcoming needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, logistics, or a technical discipline.
• 8+ years of procurement experience with strong MRO and services contracting.
• Experience with ERP systems is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, production staff, engineering and facilities management to manage orders and quotations.
• Negotiate with suppliers/contractors, issue orders, and proactively confirm deliveries.
• Expedite parts and resolve past-due deliveries; evaluate vendor performance and liaise between contractors and internal customers.
• Support Purchasing Manager on special projects and plan upcoming purchasing needs.
