Job summary

Silfex Inc., A Lam Research Company is seeking a senior leader to head Purchasing across multiple plants. You will mentor buyers, drive procurement strategies, and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve supplier performance.

You will lead data-driven procurement initiatives, establish metrics, and align with lean principles to reduce total cost of ownership and enhance supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or Material Planning in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and people-management experience.
• APICS CPIM or CPM certification preferred.
• Experience with ERP/Manufacturing systems; Plex experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a dynamic team of buyers across plants.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and services are secured timely and cost-effectively.
• Develop and implement strategic procurement roadmaps for the Supply Chain.
• Maintain measurable procurement performance metrics across supplier base.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on supplier capabilities and controls.
• Negotiate and execute supply agreements to support business needs.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
