Job summary

BlueOval Battery Park Michigan seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead all procurement for the BOBM program. You will manage four direct reports and drive a new BOBM Purchasing System, ensuring timely orders and cost-effective sourcing.

Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, coordinating with engineering, operations, and suppliers, and implementing risk-mitigated procurement plans across direct and indirect materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
• 5+ years in purchasing and supply chain.
• 3-5+ years managing direct reports.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary purchasing contact for the BOBM program.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for timely, high-quality materials.
• Lead the BOBM purchasing team to support production.
• Define and implement the BOBM purchasing system.
• Collaborate with engineers and suppliers on packaging.
• Identify supply risks and ensure business continuity.
• Monitor engineering changes and update purchase orders.
