Job summary

KUS Americas Inc. seeks a Purchasing & Logistics Manager to oversee purchasing plans, supplier management, and international transportation, including customs coordination and documentation.

The role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery, cost control, inventory availability, and regulatory compliance. The position leads the Purchasing and Logistics team, drives process improvements, and ensures accurate records and successful audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field; experience may substitute.
• 5+ years in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain with international transport experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of US import/export procedures and HTS classifications preferred.
• ERP experience; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain purchasing plans based on inventory requirements, lead times, forecasts, and operational needs.
• Monitor inventory levels, supplier lead times and purchasing requirements for continuity.
• Identify, select, and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, lead times, and other purchasing conditions.
• Manage purchase orders and coordinate timely delivery and issue resolution with suppliers.
• Coordinate domestic and international transportation, including US-Mexico cross-border shipments.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other providers.
• Review shipping and customs documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate USMCA qualification reviews and ensure origin documentation for eligible shipments.
• Support HTS classifications, customs valuation, and import/export requirements with brokers and advisers.
• Monitor customs/trade changes and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
• Assist with customs disputes, documentation corrections, audits, and recordkeeping.
• Monitor freight costs and performance; seek cost/service improvements.
• Investigate transportation issues and freight claims; resolve delays or shortages.
• Develop and improve purchasing and logistics procedures and documentation.
• Support budget planning and monitor departmental costs.
• Lead, train, and support the Purchasing and Logistics team.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Mexico team for requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for purchasing, logistics, supplier, and customs activities.
• Support audits related to purchasing, logistics, and quality-system requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
