Job summary

Confidential Global is seeking a Procurement Lead Logistics to develop and execute procurement strategies across logistics and transportation, including domestic and international freight, warehousing, distribution, parcel services, customs brokerage, and 3PL providers.

The role partners with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and business leaders to optimize spend, mitigate risks, and drive continuous value creation across North America and global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing within logistics.
• Strong knowledge of freight, warehousing, and distribution.
• Proven contract negotiation with carriers and 3PLs.
• Experience managing large logistics spend and achieving savings.
• Advanced analytical and financial skills including TCO.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a multinational organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, service, quality, and sustainability.
• Analyze transportation spend, freight data, and market trends to identify optimization opportunities and support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations teams on network optimization, distribution strategies, and logistics transformation initiatives.
• Support business continuity planning and supplier risk management activities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to leverage procurement best practices, automation, and digital procurement tools.
• Develop and maintain procurement reporting, supplier scorecards, and KPI dashboards.

You will partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and business leaders to optimize logistics spend, improve service performance, mitigate supply chain risks, and drive continuous value creation.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement within logistics and transportation categories.
• Strong knowledge of freight management, warehousing, distribution, transportation networks, and supply chain operations.
• Proven experience negotiating contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, parcel providers, and 3PL suppliers.
• Experience managing significant logistics spend and delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including spend analysis and total cost of ownership (TCO) methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within a multinational organization is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, or similar procurement and ERP systems is considered an advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
