Job summary

Jobot seeks a dynamic Purchasing & Inventory Manager in Irvine, CA, on-site, to oversee procurement operations, inventory control, and vendor relationships for a permanent role. You will drive strategic purchasing, forecast demand, and lead a team ensuring optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 5+ years in purchasing/inventory, with strong negotiation and leadership capabilities. Experience with fleet maintenance and Service Titan is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a similar role in the Engineering industry.
• Proven experience in procurement, RFQ, issuing Purchase Orders, vendor management, and Warehouse Management.
• Demonstrated ability in managing and forecasting inventory.
• Proficiency in using Service Titan or similar operations management software.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with B2B relationships.
• Solid knowledge of fleet and equipment maintenance, including preventative measures.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industry-specific materials and service requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the purchasing and inventory department.
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Lead the procurement process, including sourcing, RFQ, negotiations, and issuance of Purchase Orders.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Develop and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of goods.
• Implement and manage the Warehouse Management system to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent discrepancies and loss.
• Develop and execute cost reduction strategies and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee the fleet and equipment maintenance programs, including preventative maintenance.
• Utilize Service Titan and other systems to streamline operations and improve service levels.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing and inventory team.
