Job summary

UC Irvine seeks a procurement leader to head the campus function, guiding a team of 25 professionals across sourcing, contracting, procurement card programs, asset management, and project management.

You will establish objectives, develop processes to meet goals, approve high-dollar Purchase Orders, and provide strategic input on agreements and procurement initiatives. This role drives sustainability and supplier relations campus-wide.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the purchasing function and objectives.
• Strong ability to direct a purchasing function and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the procurement department and set objectives to meet goals.
• Provide oversight of strategic sourcing, contracts, and equipment lifecycle management.
