Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing manager role or similar in manufacturing.
• Experience in procurement, supplier relationship management, strategic planning, negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all activities of the purchasing department.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet supply needs cost-effectively.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, and supply agreements.
• Analyze market and delivery systems for material availability and alternative sources.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to forecast needs and contingencies.
• Manage risks related to supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Improve purchasing methods and drive down external spend.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget.
• Ensure compliance with procurement safety, quality, and compliance standards.
