Job summary

National Equipment & Service Corporation is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Manager to design, implement, and run our purchasing, inventory, and materials systems in Irvine, CA. You will own end-to-end processes from supplier sourcing to job billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

You'll lead complex procurement, optimize reorder points, and drive SOPs for purchasing while collaborating with operations and accounting.

Qualifications

8+ years in purchasing, procurement, or materials management in field service or industrial distribution.
Experience implementing or migrating purchasing or inventory platforms with measurable process improvements.
Hands-on purchasing at volume with many POs monthly.
Ability to read estimates, scopes of work, and equipment specs for takeoffs.
On-site in Irvine, CA with ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Own inventory and purchasing modules, configuration, permissions, workflows, and training.
Build and run the purchasing-to-bill workflow with accounting.
Maintain three-way matching and credit card controls; ensure POs have receipts and bills.
Write and maintain SOPs for purchasing and inventory processes; train the team.
Lead complex procurement including capital equipment, multi-vendor sourcing, rentals, subcontracted scopes.
