Job summary

Gensco is hiring a Buyer to join the Purchasing Team onsite at our Corporate Office in Tacoma, WA. The role focuses on supplier relations, inventory management, and cross-functional communication to meet service and efficiency goals.

Ideal candidates will have an AA degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and 3+ years of purchasing experience, with a proven ability to negotiate terms and manage costs. Comprehensive benefits are offered and the position is full-time.

Qualifications

• AA degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years related purchasing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of products Gensco sells and ability to manage supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for assigned Suppliers and negotiate cost, terms, and conditions of sale.
• Manage inventory, replenishment, and stock levels; identify overstock and communicate with branches.
• Coordinate external and internal communications regarding product lines, pricing and availability.
• Set up new suppliers and items, update costs and maintain purchasing data.
